BUDMA brings people together

This is where the Polish economy is built

This year, nearly 500 exhibitors from Poland and around the world presented their offerings. One of the key themes of this year’s edition was safety and the so-called Shelter Act, which has been in effect since January 1 of this year. “During Budma, the themes of designing, building, and equipping temporary shelters are strongly emphasized,” announced the President of the MTP Group Management Board. In turn, Michał Jaros, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Development and Technology, emphasized: “The Polish economy would not be the great success it is today if it weren’t for events like BUDMA.” He added that the trade fair has a significant impact on the development of industry in Poland. It is here that architects, civil engineers, builders, and innovators—who build the Polish economy day in and day out—come together. In turn, the Mayor of Poznań, Jacek Jaśkowiak, noted: “We are in the G20, and I have no doubt how much we owe to construction entrepreneurs.” Marek Beśka, President of the Board of the Energy-Efficient Prefabricated Homes Association, spoke about trends in construction: “This is the industry of the future.” Today, there is no turning back from prefabrication.”

The Power of Demonstrations

In addition to training sessions organized by industry partners, visitors could participate in dynamic demonstrations and consultations. The Practice and Innovation Zone, organized by the Finishing Industry Association, offered live demonstrations of tiling, drywall installation, decorative work, DIY solutions, and interactive workshops, as well as consultations with experts. Meanwhile, the Wielkopolska Branch of the Polish Roofers Association provided, among other things, demonstrations of laying roof underlayment and roofing materials; aspiring roofers could learn how to weld roofing membranes, and visitors could also admire Spanish roof tiles laid out on display. The Finishing Works Group, together with its partners, organized a demonstration zone featuring modern tools. A group of apprentices competed in the 54th edition of the “Golden Trowel” Construction Tournament.

Design and Architecture

ARCHI-STRADA 2026—the future of Polish cities, beauty, and aesthetics in architecture—were the main themes of the experts’ presentations at one of the most important gatherings of architects and designers in Poland. Among the invited guests were representatives of Polish and international architectural firms and collectives. Carl Bäckstrand (White Arkitekter) presented on the topic of regenerative architecture and Scandinavian design models, while Maciej Jakub Zawadzki (LURE / MJZ) gave a lecture on performative aesthetics and innovations in revitalization processes. Discussions took place on stage regarding the future of architecture in the context of beauty, aesthetics, and functionality. An additional highlight of this year’s BUDMA was the premiere of the Interior Design and Lighting Design Event, which demonstrated that light is no longer merely an accessory to interior design—it has become a fully-fledged design and technological tool. A holistic approach to modern interior architecture focuses on the emotions, health, and comfort of users.

The Power of Synergy – BUDMA, STONE, and INTERMASZ

The combination of stone, construction, and machinery trade fairs created benefits for both exhibitors and visitors. Over four days, participants had access to the full spectrum of market offerings—from raw materials and natural resources, through modern construction and finishing technologies, to specialized machinery and heavy equipment. Meanwhile, the International Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Vehicles, and Specialized Equipment showcased the directions of development for the modern industry. The focus was on, among other things, the automation and robotization of production processes, the digitization and integration of systems, and energy-efficient and sustainable technological solutions. Intermasz 2026 once again confirmed that the fair is not only a venue for exhibitions but, above all, a platform for the exchange of experiences and inspiration.
