The official opening of the new Hall 6A on the grounds of Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie will take place on Saturday, 4 September at 6 pm. The star of the evening will be Leszek Możdżer, a Polish jazz pianist well-known to European and international audiences.
You can win invitations to the opening of Hall 6A from Radio Merkury, Radio Złote Przeboje (from 30 August to 3 September) and from Głos Wielkopolski
The extension of Hall 6A started immediately after the end of the European Youth Meeting TAIZE (in early January 2010). The works lasted only 7 months.
This modern exhibition hall is created at the location of a former Soviet pavilion. It will be the fifth largest exhibition facility in Poland (the top four facilities are also located on the MTP grounds). Its area after the extension will increase by over 3,600 m2.Thus, a complex of halls with the total exhibition area of 11,000 m2 will be created. In the future, the facility will be connected via special passages with MTP's largest exhibition hall, i.e. Hall 5. Its exhibition area amounts to 14,500 m2. As a result of connecting the expanded Hall 6A with Hall 5, an exhibition area amounting to 24,500 m2 will be created.
Total measurements of Hall 6A:
- Length: 81.55 m
- Width: 44.50 m
- Height: 11 m
Facts and figures:
- increase in MTP's usable area: 4,400 sq. m
- increase in MTP's exhibition area: 3,600 sq. m
- total usable area in Halls 6 and 6A: 15,000 sq. m including 10,000 sq. m of exhibition area

- the most advanced fire protection system
- unlimited possibilities for connecting stands to various utilities, including compressed air - which is important for comprehensive presentation of some machinery at work
Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie belongs to the largest exhibition centres in the world. It is unsurpassed in Poland when it comes to the size and quality of the exhibition space offered to exhibitors. Not everyone is aware of the fact that MTP could accommodate all important exhibition centres in Poland on its trade fair grounds with over 23 hectares.
Moreover, Poznań boasts the most convenient conditions for exhibiting at shows and for participating in large congresses and conferences. All 16 MTP's halls have appropriate structure and height, air-conditioning and many of them are joined via passages so that trade fair participants do not have to go outdoors to move between halls.
Both the space and the exhibition conditions offered to exhibitors by MTP are admirable.
MTP grounds in figures:
- MTP's total trade fair area: 23 ha
- number of exhibition halls: 16
- usable area in halls: over 200,000 sq. m
- exhibition area in halls: over 113,000 sq. m
- exhibition area on open grounds: 35,000 sq. m
- total capacity of the facilities: 1.6 million m3
Special passages will lead in the future from Hall 6A to Hall 5, i.e. MTP's largest exhibition facility. When the halls are joined, the exhibition space thus created will offer 42,000 sq. m of usable area and 24,600 sq. m of exhibition area. Therefore, the fifth largest complex of halls in Poland will be created (the top four complexes of exhibition halls are also located at the Poznań fair).
